Sister Joan Chittister famously said, "We are each called to go through life reclaiming the planet an inch at a time until the Garden of Eden grows green again." Reflecting on that journey -- a blog at a time -- is the focus of this site.

Wow, not only funny but Bill Maher, told the damm truth and nothing but the truth. We Americans better stand up, speak up and wake up!!!
john ... "heat" for linking this? You're kidding, right?
I've got a kid in Iraq -- so anybody who wants to give me "heat" for linking to Bill Maher speaking truth the powers that have brought this country to the brink of the abyss it's at can just bring it on.
Susan you are so right! As a Veteran (we support our troops, we love our Country, but this is not a war it is another killing field). At first I was shocked listening to Bill Maher, but "the truth shall set you free", you work it Susan, some people just think with blinders on and or don't want to hear the truth. Thank you for not being afraid to speak and share the truth. God bless you, Love and prayers to our fellow service men and women!!! It breaks my heart when I have to go to an important dr. appt. at the West L.A. VA Wadsworth Medical Center and now see some horrific situations of wounded Iraqi Vets. If anyone has a problem with you linnking this to your blog, I challenge them to go to a VA Veterans Hospital anywhere USA and take a walk, "your eyes will be open"
I love the Sam Clemmens quote. I recall using it frequently when opposing the Viet Nam debacle. People reacted badly to it then, and I suspect many will now.
I think Jesus was pretty clear about where he wanted us to be engaged. The heretical idea that we should noe be involved in the world's issues is simply wrong. We need to speak on the issues of the day or be found irrelevant.

I suspect that you'll catch some heat for linking to this even here on your own blog, but I thank you.

Susan,
My prayers are with you and your son. I lost a nephew -- raised along side me like a brother -- in Iraq. He was among the first killed in the 48th.
