  1. Good for Ellen. She typically shies away from anything with even a whiff of the political, so I'm glad she decided to do that segment.

    Regardless of anyone's religious convictions, we are not second class citizens, and our country needs to recognize this apart from religion, and renounce and counter the kind of violence that took this young man's life and surely has destroyed the life of the shooter as well. God forgive us, as a society, for allowing this kind of hatred to happen.
