Equality is on the Move!

Marriage Equality bill passes in the NY Assembly by a vote of 82-37. Now onto the New York State Senate ... which is streaming its session here tonight.

Not over til it's over ... but New York is poised to be the 6th state to extend marriage equality to its citizens.
Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or debate this night and give your angels charge over those who vote!

    Just goes to show that calls and emails and letters and signs and standing in Senate hallways - over and over - helps to inch the arc closer to justice. Thanks be to God for all NY'ers who worked for this. In the Diocese of Rochester particularly Bp. Prince Singh and Neil Houghton.
