Sister Joan Chittister famously said, "We are each called to go through life reclaiming the planet an inch at a time until the Garden of Eden grows green again." Reflecting on that journey -- a blog at a time -- is the focus of this site.

The flowers for the altar today ...
... were given to the Glory of God ...
... and in thanksgiving for the life of Donald Lowers. .
Thanks for this. I didn't realize until about a day before I left for vacation that I was going to miss "4th of July Sunday" at All Saints - one of my favorites, particularly because James Walker (Organist/Choirmaster) always plays Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag as the closing Voluntary (in addtion to lots of other glorious, patriotic musing in the service). But also because I always give the flowers in thanks for the life of my late husband - he died on 7/2/86. I can't believe it's been 22 years. Thanks for thinking of me. Jim
SOME COMMENTS ABOUT COMMENTS: •Feel free to disagree, but if you disagree, give a reason. • Please stay with the thread -- the place to post long articles on other topics is your own blog. • Challenging ideas will get a conversation going; attacking individuals will get a comment deleted.•
