"The Administration believes the public interest is best served by permitting the Court's judgment to go into effect, thereby restoring the right of same-sex couples to marry in California. Doing so is consistent with California's long history of treating all people and their relationships with equal dignity and respect.'" -- Kenneth C. Mennemeier, an attorney representing Gov. SchwarzeneggerThe L.A. Times has the story here.
Sister Joan Chittister famously said, "We are each called to go through life reclaiming the planet an inch at a time until the Garden of Eden grows green again." Reflecting on that journey -- a blog at a time -- is the focus of this site.

Susan, just a quick note to say THANK YOU for your tireless battle, and your gentle loving heart. I"m white, male, straight, priest, and, frankly, afraid to make this an issue at my parish. but I got off the fence at seminary (VTS) because some of my best friends were glbt. I am a 'big picture' thinker and am convinced that, base especially on the comments of my children (in their late 20's and 30's), the issue is decided. I cannot tell you how much I admire you who have had the courage to stand up and face the furor. God bless you for your courage and your faith.
