Reminder: A Comment on "Comments"

Just a quick reminder that I do reserve the right to moderate comments on this blog ... which means decline to post them if I feel like it.

For the record, what inspires me to hit "DELETE" is not an alternative theological or political position respectfully offered ... I can even handle it if you want to throw in the occasional apostate heretic reference.

But here's what will end you up in my Trash Can:
  • Any comment beginning with Suzie Baby, Sue Baby, Suzie Q, etc. Gone.

  • Comments which include ad hominem attacks against ... well, anybody. Trash.

  • Rambling discussions speculating about sex acts are definitely zapped. Every time. No matter how many times you post the same article about the Scandanavian survey that proves queer people die sooner than straight people it's getting deleted. Period.

  • And please, please, PLEASE don't include the fiction that Gene Robinson abandoned his wife and children. Didn't happen. It'll get "moderated."

I may add others as the week goes on. For now ... let the conversation continue!

Thank you for saying you will allow other theological points of view.

For what it is worth, I never said that Robinson "abandoned" his children. That change of phraseology is as conspicuous as it is an incorrect characterization.

It is plain that you edit comments in a viewpoint-centric way, as equivalent comments, whether dealing with explicit matters of sexuality or having controversial factual import, that support your view appear regularly.

OK, then can we say he abandoned his vows? I beleive that the vow he took included the words "forsaking all others" and until death do us part."
