Time is running out to offer your two cents on the Anglican Covenant process as requested by Executive Council ... which meets the week of June 11th in New Jersey. Here's the "tick tock" part:
Responses are due TOMORROW ... as in JUNE 4th
AND ... as my brother blogger, Mark Harris, put it:
YOU CAN DO THIS. Read the Study Guide on the Draft Covenant write down your thoughts and send them in. What good is the opportunity to comment on the Covenant if it is not taken up?
Please send your responses by June 4, 2007 to:
Response to Draft Anglican Covenant
The Office of the General Convention
The Episcopal Church Center
815 Second Ave, New York, NY 10017
FAX: (212) 972-9322
Or respond by e-mail to gcsecretary@episcopalchurch.org
Nothing like a deadline to inspire creativity ... ready, set, GO!
PS - No, I haven't done mine yet ... stay tuned! :)

Mark also said that our responses had to go through our dioceses. Once again the bishops get to articulate what the laity or clergy are thinking. I don't like it at all.
Have you forgotten those among us who are dying?
anonymous ... no, we pray for the dead and the dying daily. But we also keep on with the work of the living ... and whether we like it or not, some that work right now is replying to the Covenant Process.
lauren ... are you sure Mark meant the Covenant Process? Responding to that is a request that came from Executive Council ... responding to the COMMUNIQUE is what the House of Bishops Theology Committee has just crafted a process for and THAT one is the one that goes through the bishops.
Oye vey!
