Seriously???

So the Republican leadership in Congress supported a rider to the budget bill that would strip low inccome women from access to preventative health care "in order to balance the budget" but is willing to sign a blank check to defend the indefensible "Defense of Marriage Act????"

U.S. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Thursday he doesn't have an estimate for the cost of the House defense of the Defense of Marriage Act in court as he maintained congressional action was necessary to uphold the anti-gay statute.

During a news conference on Capitol Hill, Boehner said he doesn't have information on the expenses for defending DOMA -- including the cost of any private attorneys -- when asked by the Washington Blade about these expenses as well as any planned oversight on these costs.

SERIOUSLY?????

Boehner and his ilk make it difficult to be Christlike. Forgive me, Godde, for nasty thoughts.

I simply can't believe intelligent people will sign this piece of crap into law.

Wait - are there enough intelligent politicians in DC to veto this?

It's painfully obvious that no one in congress is taking the debt crisis seriously. Percentage wise, I have the same amount of budget cut savings in the cushions of my couch.

I'm just thankful my family began to prepare years ago.
