At the one year anniversary of the passage of Proposition 8, all across the state of California we will stand together, not looking back, but moving forward. By "Keeping the Faith," we will celebrate the progress that has been made in the past year, both in the secular and religious communities.
We will renew our support for our friends in Maine and Washington State as they face ballot measures which would strip same-sex couples of relationship protections.
Here in Los Angeles, we will gather for interfaith prayer, song, and reflection at Immanuel Presbyterian Church as we move forward -- “Keeping the Faith” for equality for all people.
For more information about the L.A. event, contact Kerry Chaplin or call the CA Faith for Equality office at 310.598.5866.

Only in LA would something like this be happening at a Presbyterian church.
Really?
Yea, Susan most of the country outside of NY, LA, and Chicago is pretty conservative. There are not many Presbyterian churchs in the country that are More Light.
I attend 1st Pres. in Bristol, TN. I asked them about going "more light" and they are a long ways away from doing that!
Well probably. There is one "More Light" church in Elizabethon TN where I live in Appalachia, but that is a rare thing! I guess you just have to go to the Episcopal church where I live. Everything else is backwards.
There's a map somewhere on the web that shows what the US will look like following the 2nd civil war. It's actually pretty interesting to look at because it's a colorful picture of what the US "looks" like now. I also think it's funny because apparently no one wants to be associated with Utah.
