"I ask all of you to join me
in working as hard for Barack Obama
as you have for me."

My favorite quote:
.
"Every moment wasted looking back keeps us from moving forward. Life is too short, time is too precious, and the stakes are too high to dwell on what might have been. We have to work together for what still can be."

Amen. Amen. Amen!

Truly she gave a class speech, and your quote is on the mark. I pray all my disappointed female friends will consider Sen. McCain and the way he treats his (wealthy) wife before wasting a retaliatory vote against OBama. McCain is from the old mysoginistic school. And we MUST get the GOP out of DC
Dear Rev. Russell:
A great speech, that would have been much greater if it had been given in April. But, better late than never.
If we can just keep Bill out of the mix until November, we should end up with the result we need.
A sinner saved by God's Grace

I liked that particular phrase, as well, but found it jarring considering that just moments before she'd talked about what might have been if Republicans hadn't dominated the presidency for the last forty years. But then again, bless her heart, consistency is not one of her virtues.
