Sister Joan Chittister famously said, "We are each called to go through life reclaiming the planet an inch at a time until the Garden of Eden grows green again." Reflecting on that journey -- a blog at a time -- is the focus of this site.
Yep ... we're pedaling as fast as we can around here. 125th Anniversary ... Homecoming ... Bishop's Task Force on Marriage Equality ... new acolytes to bring on board ... and a November 4th election looming ... just the stuff of parish-priest life.
I thought dogs could only vote in Chicago elections.
True story: The father of a friend of mine grew up in Chicago and had a patronage job that "required" him to vote a certain way in each election. My friend's father dallied a little too long on election day and was racing to the polls to vote when a city hack stopped him and said, "Don't worry Mr. Crawford, we were worried you wouldn't make it, so you've already voted." That said, the dog reminds me of our old Colby.

Let me think: hmmm . . . been busy much, Susan? Thanks be to God for religious activists like you, my dear!
So, how's the acolyte training going? And, how many hospital calls have you made so far this week?
Know that you are in my prayers. Thanks for including me in yours.

You both are my s/heroes, and I have NO idea how you do all that you do. My prayers for you both forever ascend.
And that pic is worth a 1000 woofs! I need to learn how to add pix and videos; you do liven up both your blogs so well!
Gratefully,

What a beautiful dog, and he's certainly outspoken about Proposition 8! It's good he's on our side.
