Sister Joan Chittister famously said, "We are each called to go through life reclaiming the planet an inch at a time until the Garden of Eden grows green again." Reflecting on that journey -- a blog at a time -- is the focus of this site.
Oh, my. I'm beginning to feel like Ms. Bonnie looking through her Magic Looking Glass on Romper Room. "And I see Kim and Scott, and I see Hans and Franz, and I see . . .people who look familiar but I can't remember their names.
And, as I remember it was hotter than the hinges on the gates of hell.
Oh, the things we've done - and continue to do - for Jesus!
Word verification: diner. Probably because I haven't had any dinner yet and it's almost 10 PM
"I remember it was hotter than the hinges on the gates of hell."
Yes. But what I remember even more than the insufferable heat was Frank Griswold's reaction when he saw whose names were on the panel of the AIDS quilt he was about to bless: two men he had ordained to the priesthood. He was so overcome that he had to turn his back to the congregation to collect himself before he could proceed with the blessing.
The photo doesn't go far over enough to where I was roasting.
