The Episcopal Public Policy Network is reporting that Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, will testify before the United States Senate's Environment and Public Works Committee on the urgent need for legislation to address Global Warming. You can view the hearing on-line via a Live Webcast tomorrow, June 7, 2007 at 10 a.m. ET. In the people with new jobs department, Charles Robertson+ has been appointed to succeed Carl Gerdau as Canon to the Presiding Bishop and Michael Battle+ is heading out to Los Angeles from Virginia to serve as the new provost of the Cathedral Center of St. Paul and its Congregation of St. Athanasius, and canon theologian to Bishop J. Jon Bruno of the Diocese of Los Angeles. (He's going to have to have really BIG business cards to fit all that on!)
