Sacred Activism: Putting Spiritual Knowledge into Action

This looks like a VERY cool event ... check it out if you're in the L.A. area:

Ed Bacon will join Andrew Harvey for [ALOUD], the Interfaith discussion series, at the L.A. Central Library, on Tuesday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m.

From the library press release:

Harvey is a poetic and passionate mystic and writer who suggests that what unites all religions “is a truth that the service of God is putting love into action.” He discusses his dramatic life conversion from mysticism to mystic activism with the Rector of All Saints Church—known for its focus on social justice initiatives. ALOUD programs take place at the Los Angeles Central Library's Mark Taper Auditorium, 630 W. Fifth Street, Los Angeles, CA 90071.

There is nothing that unites all Religions, there is no such thing as Interfaith...that is, unless you have No Faith. You cannot unite all Religions ...that's an impossibility. Each Religion teaches against all other Religions.[even a superficial study reveals this.]

There cannot be 'many truths'.... there is one Truth. There is only one Saving Truth... The Creator, LORD Jesus the Christ.

[Buddha a flawed man, rotted in the ground... so did Mohamed, and any other Religious 'Leader' you can name. Except, Jesus]

It's curious that Rev. Bacon wants TEC to side up with Islam .... 80-85% of Muslims believe that Islam should be MORE in their respective governments & Laws... they want, Segregation for men & women in the work place, stoning for adulterers, hand amputation for thieves, and Death to any that deny Islam, and death to Homosexuals. I'm surprised that Rev. Bacon is so supportive of Islam.

There are two religions, only:

Faith in God

Fundamentalism

The rest are only denominations.
